The session with Pokey Lafarge took place in Paris, upstairs in a restaurant in La Bastille. It took me ages to set up, I wasn’t sure of where to shoot. I finally chosed one side of the room, and set two strobes, one right above me, slightly on the right, in a 60×90 softbox, and another one on the left, an octobox just lying on a table (as I had forgotten my second stand…).
Pokey is amazing to shoot : he’s the most courteous guy, and he definitely knows what to do. So he did all the job, this session was really fantastic. I just had to do a little post-processing and color)-grading in Photoshop, and that’s it.
I’m very proud that he chosed these photos as his promo material for his new album.
